Neither move will cripple us, but it doesn't make much sense. One would think it's either to free up cash or to have more ammo to make a trade today. |

We pretty much traded a backup TE and a MLB (when we have Zach Thomas to take his place) for Pacman Jones. |

I think he has great potential and - not having a back-up tight end has burnt Dallas badly in the past. Ya don't want me to start listing the tight ends Dallas had behind Jay or the ones we had between him and Jason arriving.
Witten takes a lot of hits - he's been durable so far - but Fasano was a strong 2nd tight end that showed me he could start for a decent number of teams...including Dallas should Witten go down.

He's an okay player. We didn't need him, we got almost nothing out of him (unless you want to count the dropped TD pass in the playoffs), and got very little in return with him. If we had a chance to do it again, no doubt we'd do it differently. |
