Vikes get Tyrell Johnson (S from Arkansas State). Why didn't we wait for him?

I thought that was a pretty good move for Minnesota.

Matt Forte (RB Tulane) to Chicago. What do you Bears fans think about that?

If I'm a Bear fan, I want Brian Brohm in that spot.

Forte info from Rivals.com:
"Forte gained more than 2,000 yards in an offense that featured nothing but him in many games. He was also named MVP of the Senior Bowl. If Cedric Benson does not come into camp in shape and ready to perform at a high level there is a very good chance that the Bears just drafted their new starting running back."

Based on the Bears SuperBowl season, they got there with 2 backs, Benson and Jones. I think they're looking for someone to step in and compliment Benson ala LT and Michael Turner when he was still in SD.

Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

Not that anyone here probably cares, but I'm trying to convince myself that Felix Jones will be a good pick. While I still think that Mendenhall is the better all around running back, I think it's all about being a fit with the team. Barber and Jones both came from two back systems and neither one of them were "the man" in that system. I understand the thinking with them looking for thunder and lightning in the backfield. Not the pick I would have made, but I'm hoping for the best.

I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system.

Did you see what Mendenhall did to USC? And USC would absolutely own the Big 10. I just think he's the more complete back. In the Cowboys' situation, they don't necessarily need the complete back.
I hope that means they plan on extending Barber, though. I was thinking that if we got Mendenhall, that he could simply take over in two years when Barber's contract was up.

Did you like that pick by Philly? Jackson is talented, no doubt, but he's a gimmick receiver. The analysts were talking about how they can use him for screens. That's what they use Westbrook for. How many are they going to throw in a game?
Very peculiar pick by Washington. They're adding a lot of offensive talent, no doubt, but WR is the riskiest position to draft, in my opinion. They've drafted two of them (granted, two of the top WR in the draft) and a TE when they have a very good one in Chris Cooley.
Good for Jason Campbell, but not sure how good it is for the rest of the team.
