I like the Chiefs draft so far, and I'm not a Chiefs fan.

Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

Did Detroit get KC's other first rounder or not? They're still listed at 17.
Assuming they did get the 17th pick, that's a real good trade for Detroit, especially if they're going to take a HB.

Llons got a 3rd round and 5th round pick in the trade. Wonder why they didn't get Mendelhall?

Because they'll probably be able to get him at 17. I guess it is possible for Arizona to take him with Edge getting older.

Arizona is on the clock. Lots of great players left that they could use.

What makes people think Jacksonville reached when taking Harvey? B/c Mel Kiper said so?
Maybe they see him as the next Jevon Kearse. DE from Florida?

Baltimore didn't care because they knew they'd still get one of their QBs.

Maybe they see him as the next Jevon Kearse. DE from Florida? because no one else really needed a DE that high ..... they prob coulda traded around the 12ish range and still got him ..... just a though ....

Maybe they see him as the next Jevon Kearse. DE from Florida? Sporting News had him as the 6th best DE and a second rounder tops.

But in order to trade down in the 12sih range, you would need that team to be comfortable moving back 14 spots in the draft. In this case, that would be Denver and the OTs will likely be gone at that point.
Perhaps they were afraid that New England was going to take him at 10.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to Arizona. I would have guessed they would have gone for an offensive player.

I see. I didn't realize where he was ranked. I turned on the tv to hear Mel say it was a reach.
I think Cromartie has bust written all over him. He is a numbers guy but to me doesn't look the part of a football player. Not physical enough IMO

On a ISU note...this bodes very well for Tuba. DT's and DE's are at a premium this draft and I think we'll see his name sometime today.
