Draft 2008 first 2 rounds

Is everyone satisfied with the picks? I am feeling a little better with the picks that the Chiefs had. So far I would say they had one of the bests so far.

How nice--to feel nothing, and still get full credit for being alive. Kurt Vonnegut-Slaughterhouse-Five

Chiefs had a great draft. I'm pretty satisfied with the Packers draft. Still scratching my head on the pick of the WR at pick 36, but Thompson usually knows what he's doing I suppose....

I don't know much about the player Minnesota got. I thought KC, Pitt, Balt, Dallas all had good days.

No, I am not impressed with taking a RB from Tulane with the 2nd pick.

Fanatic #25 - Will never think of the Disney hotel showers the same again thanks to a certain poster here.

While I was initially very critical of the Cowboys taking Felix Jones, I'm coming around. I'm close to saying I like it, which is a far cry from what I was saying earlier.

I love the second and third picks.

I think the Bears should have drafted Brohm.

The Lions and Millen screw the pooch again. Couldve gotten Mendenhal, but get a 2nd team all conference Tackle with the #17 pick?!?

I love that the Lions are in the Vikes' division.

I dont know why the Lions didnt get Mendenhal or Jones when they just released K. Jones. A 2nd rate OT is like putting a piece of bubble gum over a leak in the damn. We need help all over the darn place, start with a new moron in charge or the draft.

I had the opportunity to watch Forte play in a couple of games and the kid is impressive. A big back with speed, he was Tulane's only offensive weapon and still put up HUGE numbers. Everyone knew if they stopped him they won the game, but he still ran for over 2,000. I like the pick, but still would have preferred another QB to add to the mix.

I don't think Forte is necessarily a bad player. I think he could be solid. And while the Bears tend not to draft the flashy guys that get a lot of hype, they've had pretty good success of finding late gems.

I'm just really surprised that if they were going to go HB, they didn't take Rice and they passed the chance to get Brohm in the second round.

I have been pissed off the whole day that the Angelo didn't trade up to get Mendenhall. Then we go out and get Forte when a RB like Ray Rice is still there. Not happy with how he handled the RB situation.

I have no problem with the Bears not trading up to get Mendenhall, but I still don't think they handled their second round pick worth a damn.

The Lions got an excellent right tackle, when they're desperate for linemen. What are you complaining about?

Had the Vikes still owned their first pick, they probably would have taken either Cherilius, OTah or maybe Baker.

I like the Vikes' second round safety (projected by some in the first), they needed someone with a chance to be a star. But this draft sure is gutted, with the next pick in th fifth round.

I've been doing some reading on him, and the more I see, the more I like him. So far the experts like the pick as well. Sounds like a heck of an athlete at the saftey spot with 4.4 speed, good man to man coverage skills and a great open field tackler.
