    The medical examiner said Jacobs suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the abdomen and the head.
    If you were committing suicide, why would you shoot yourself in the stomach first?

    Maybe he thought he could shoot himself in the heart and he just missed? Sounds kinda fishy but if you were under the state of mind to commit a murder/suicide I'm sure things might not go exactly as planned.

    maybe he just meant to wound himself by shooting him in the stomach but instead ended up killing himself.
