Cards at Red Sox
So this weekend St. Louis returns to the scene of their 2004 World Series depantsing. Cards are fresh off getting swept by the hapless KC Royals, which is not what they needed coming into this series. Boston is near invincible at home, and St. Louis had a great chance to make up some ground on the Cubs. This will be a tough series.
Making it even tougher is their lineup. Without Pujols, and with the rest of the team swinging nothing but hot air, this could be painful. Here is tonight's lineup:
Izturis
Schumaker
Ludwick
Ankiel
Glaus
Duncan
Molina
Kennedy (DH)
Miles
Freaking Adam Kennedy is DHing because he has a lifetime BA of .283 at Fenway. Do we really have no one better than that? Good grief.
We are dead, son.
