Would that make for some mixed emotions or what. I would pay to be there just to see the pre-game and half-time festivities.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Favre is probably going to end up as the "Roger Clemens" of the NFL.

I'll tell you a story, believe me it's true
a tale you'd best hope never happens to you
old spicy mcHaggis, how he met his fate
you I can save, but for him it's too late

No it isn't. They can release him, sign him, or trade him.

They have options too.

Not nearly the same circumstances, but in general I agree...

My respect for Favre has dwindled in that last few months. He could not have handled this entire situation any worse.

Does anybody trust anything this bozo says anymore?

If I'm the Packers, or a Packers fan, I say "good riddance" to the the indecisive, selfish, obviously confused, former hero.

Unfair to his teammates, unfair to the fans, unfair to the organization. This has really become a joke.

as a Vikings fan, Favre's allure is tempered by 16 years of hating his guts. I don't know that I would necessarily enjoy seeing him in purple and gold.

Romo is probably tugging on Jerry's suit coat, begging him to bring his all-time idol to Dallas for a season or two.

They will not pay what Farve is going to make to have him as a backup... That just isn't financially viable.

As somebody with no interest in Favre or the NFC in general, I think it would be absolutely classic if Favre went to the Vikings. I would absolutely love it.

I say tell him that he can come back, but he starts at the bottom of the totem poll and has to work his way up. Streak or no streak.

I heard on Mike and Mike that the NFLPA has been asked by Brett not to make or license any "retirement" items.

wouldn't take long...Rodgers is as brittle as they come. The packers will regret this situation until Brohm is up to speed in a year or so.

Then thats fine, I just think it would send a bad message to just let him skip all the OTA's and come be the starter.
