He's been very shaky the past month. Not sure what's wrong with him.

No. No no no no no. He needs to come down with a blister or something too. He needs the rest. If nothing else, I don't want the risk of him giving up another 5 runs in an inning in the All-Star game.

this is horrible. He might be leading the league in strikeouts for all relievers, but he is a mental headcase and has been possibly over used. He needs the rest and mental rest

"Marmol (2-3, 4.13 ERA, 3 saves) was picked because he was the relief pitcher with the highest vote on the player ballot. He is the only pitcher in the game who isn't a starter or a closer. He became the eighth Cubs player on the NL All-Star team"

I agree. He's going to be mental applesauce and lose any remaining confidence if he keeps getting shelled.

I'd personally like to see CQ face him again.

Jon Rauch (4-2 2.85 17svs) deserves it much more than Marmol. Heck, after the last week my brother probably deserves it more, he has better numbers now (5-3 4.01 64k).

Cubs set a record with 8 all stars out of 25 man roster. The batboys in Wrigley must have even been voting this year. What an amzing amount of talent on one team.

By the way, Ron Santonism of the Day: Ron had never heard of the Calgary Stampede.....he received a letter from a fan citing the event and had no clue what it was....maybe he heard of RagBrai instead.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Not anymore than Fukudome starting. Jeepers.

    .279 - 7HRs - 36 RBI

    Not bad, but starting?

Those Japanese fans can really vote.
