I agree that Liriano should come up... but it's not exactly easy to replace any starter right now as they've all been performing pretty darn good.

Don't discount the experience and the effect Livan has on the younger starters.

He threw me out stealing 3rd in high school. I was about 5 steps from third when he caught the ball and he still threw me out by a step.

Yes... Weinke and Mauer have eerily similar backgrounds. Both were drafted to play professional baseball and both were recruited and offered scholarships by Bobby Bowden to play quarterback at Florida State.

Joe has another uncle, Ken, who is an NBA ref.
