What Are Your Favorite "Non-Traditional" Olympic Sports to Watch?

Personnaly I really like to watch the Kayaking, Water Polo, and Handball.

Of the more traditional sports I really like to watch Women's Softball, Gymnastics, Volleyball, and of course Beach Volleyball...

Anybody know how to get into Handball? I think I might be ok at it....

    For winter I like Curling.

Summer... I don't know... I like decathlon, but that is probably a traditional sport.

I'm not much into the Olympics for some reason, and it's for the Winter Olympics, but I enjoy the biathalon. 'Cause shooting and skiing makes sense to me. I enjoy the absurdity. Also why I enjoy curling.

I got into handball by enrolling in a handball class when I was a student at ISU

Summer: Table Tennis, Badminton, Handball, cycling, triathalon, pretty much anything but rhythmic gymnastics.

Winter: Curling, Luge, Bobsled, well anything, I LOVE the olympics.

I am so ticked this year because I have to travel for 5 days to Europe during the games. I am hoping I at least get to watch a lot of it still.

Is this the handball similar to soccer or the one similar to raquetball?

I know a girl that played on the US National team the last few years but she got started at West Point... I think they play about anything in the acadamies...

We use to play it in PE back in high school and it was awesome! Fun to smoke the freshmen but not on purpose

This may go without saying, with my avatar and all, but I love the game of volleyball, especially beach volleyball, but high school college pro, doesn't matter. Olympic volleyball indoor and out is great to watch. The USA men's team just won the world league, and I believe are ranked #2 in the world, they will be worth checking out!

Re: What Are Your Favorite "Non-Traditional" Olympic Sports to Watch?

I have such a hard time watching the sports based off of judges scores.

Anything with an actual head to head competition is much better.

Softball, Women's Volleyball, and Basketball for the summer.

It's probably "non-traditional" in the US, but I love to watch country v. country soccer. World Cup, Euro Cup, Olympics.

Those people define what it means to be a fanatic.
