GB better hope that Aaron is not injured. Brett played like a warrior since 1992. Aaron was already banged up last year. Brohm will be searching how to play well till the end of the season. Big roll of the dice by the front office. They must have long term contracts left.

Simply put. The Packers need to find out this season if Rodgers can lead a team, if not they don't waste money on a long term contract.

This is not about this season for the Packers. This is about the next 5+ seasons. This team is very young and talented and is setup to succeed for a few years.

ESPN reporting that if Jets trade Farve to Minnesota...

Jets would have to compensate Green Bay with 3 number 1 Picks...

Farve will be staying in New York.....

    Re: Favre's a Jet!!!

This is complete crap. I may have to resign my packers fanship. I feel like I've been punched in the gut, eerily similar to some ISU games I've witnessed in the past....
"I think that people are responding to someone standing up and saying this is what we want to do and let's not be afraid to go for it,'' Pollard said. "I think Iowa State has a very conservative, modest background. We never pound our chest and say `Let's do it.' It's OK to set a goal. You can't do it if you don't say what you want to do. You should be proud of it.''

In the long run this is what is best for Green Bay. They get a pick for Favre now where originally they would have gotten nothing. Now they can show that they are committed to the future.

Timc's got it right - The commishioner doesn't have to do anything and there doesn't have to be a rule against it. Green Bay just puts a trade clause that if he is moved within XX days they get the next 2 or 3 first round picks ... or a hundred billion dollars! ... or something along those lines.

    Re: Favre's a Jet!!!

Farve at the Jets is going to make for an interesting season. Which Farve will show up the one who had a 95+ qb rating last year or the guy from the two season prior who struggled to post a 72 qb rating? My guess is that with a month to learn Man-genious's offense we will be closer to posting the 72. Brett has never been know as a student of the game, more like the gun-slinger who wins on luck and determination.

As a Vikings fan I am glad to see him out of the division and even with T Jack at QB I feel more comfortable then if we had Arron Rogers. At least the Vikings as a team are behind him and that sort of support can't be taken lightly. Rogers on the other hand will be constantly quesitoned everytime Farve outplays him or he makes a mistake or even gets injured. I expect to see Brian Brohm on the feild before the end of the season and not in mop up duty.

Sorry Pack fans, but its going to be fun watching your team circle the drain this season just for my entertainment in watching Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy squirm while the boos get louder and louder at Lambeau.
