Minus her hairline being wayyyy back, I could always transfer to Southern Miss to date Nastia Liukin...

(and I'm actually young enough to say that )

The final torch bearer 'running' along the top of the stadium is pretty neat.

Costas almost ruined watching this. He's not a magic maker like he thinks. He trys to make everything into a story. I just dont care for him. I was wishing Matt Lauer would knocked him out earlier.

Mighty God, if I were London watching tonight's Olympic opening, I'd be sweating it a little.

What the Chinese did tonight will be impossible to top. That was easily the best stadium entertainment show ever.

I really think they made an effort to show as many attractive female athletes as possible. I'm not complaining, just pointing it out.

Lol, my dad referenced Eddie "The Eagle" tonight, I'm pretty sure he's my dads favorite olympic athlete.

I caught bits and pieces as we had to help the oldest move. Does anyone know if it will be rebroadcast, (besides at 1:30 this morning, I missed the window on that, as well)?

I liked the country that had 72,000 total people in the entire country, but there was 92,000 people in the stadium.

I think the best torch lighting ever was a few years ago, when the archer came out, and shot a fire arrow at the torch from the opposite end of the field. That was really cool

Agreed, I mentioned this same event last night as we were watching the torch lighting. That was sweet.
We were thinking that was the Athens Olympics, but I see here that it was in fact Barcelona.
Athens had the giant rotating cigarette.
