    GOLD IS OURS!!!!!!
There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

4 free throws here for Bryant, GAME.

    Nice. 26 sec. left.

US up by 10 w/ possesion. I'd say it's safe. Hats off to Spain though. They played hard and managed to give us a hell of a game.

Rudy was drafted two years ago and his rights were traded to Portland for Cash. He had to finish out his Euroleague contract but he'll be in Portland this year with Oden and the rest. Roy probably to SF and Rudy probably starting. Give the Blazers a year or two and they are going to be very solid.

I guess you must prefer the McDermott paced half-court grind-it-out 50-48 type of contest...now that is scintilating basketball.

    A few observations:

-#5 for Spain (Fernandez, I believe)....that guy can stroke it from the perimeter.

-The 17 year old PG (Ricky Rubio (sp?))...he is also pretty darned good.

-The youger Gasol looks like a "mountain man"....he is certainly not afraid to bang inside....very unique for a European big man.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Most of the other Spaniards have scruffy beards, and little Ricky looks like he doesn't even shave yet...
