Re: Which NFL Coach gets fired first?
I said years ago when he was fired, the Bears never, ever should have fired Dick Juron. I stand by that statement and the fact the Bills continue to get better just makes be believe it more.
The Rams are done, completely lifeless. Scott has to go - soon.
The entire front office and most of the coaching staff in Detroit should be next. Complete waste of talent going on up there.
Re: Which NFL Coach gets fired first?
I agree the Bears issues are deeper than the head coach. They have no eye for talent or lack if talent.
Re: Which NFL Coach gets fired first?
Linehan is done. I think Childress needs a bit more time. They had a solid win today and I think that division will end up being wide open after Dallas exposed Green Bay on its own field tonight. Think if Minny had a QB..they'd be awesome.

The same can be said about most of the teams in the NFL that are not very good.

probably true, but I think St. Louis would be "turrible" no matter what.

The Rams, Lions and a few others are many other pieces away than just a good QB.
Supposedly the Rams do have a good QB...but they'll be lucky to win 2 or more games at this rate.
Re: Which NFL Coach gets fired first?
STL has a few weapons down there. I don't think they would be a playoff team but they would at least be in a few games this year with a better coach.

Ditto for KC.
Re: Which NFL Coach gets fired first?
Looks like it will be Kiffin - which I do not agree with - but will be best for him. No sense wasting away in Oakland under Davis.
ESPN - Sources: Raiders coach Kiffin to be fired as early as Monday - NFL
Re: Which NFL Coach gets fired first?
We will try him out in the cities. :)
Chili did manage a win today. I can not imagine Gus being the answer however.
Re: Which NFL Coach gets fired first?
I think the Patriots will lose the rest of their games and a humiliated Belichick will be fired.
Wait. That's not what I think. Just a very pleasant dream that I had last night.

I'm sure it will be Kiffin, just because Al Davis is such a psycho. I wish it was Herm, I hope he and Carl go out in a package, but I don't think it will happen this year.
Re: Which NFL Coach gets fired first?
as far as the bears go, mike mccaskey needs to loosen his pockets a tad. the bears never seem to want to spend money, and they have to have plenty considering they are in one of the largest sports markets in the country. surely if they began bringing in big names they would have even more. i see it as an investment, they may invest a couple million extra in a big name player, but they'd also make millions off of him.
lovie smith is doing a fine job with what he is given. jerry angelo for some reason, refuses to build through free agency, and only builds through the draft. Even then, he rarely goes after high profile players, and when he does they are usually busts, minus urlacher and hester. last year he could have gotten brohm, flynn, brennan, mendenhall among others. forte looks alright so far, but i think mendenhall would be better, and they passed on him for an injured tackle. even there he could have went for otah or clady (i know one of them went earlier.) it is like he has an agreement with the league that he will pick the under the radar players which does work occaisonally (charles tillman), not usually. moral of the story, jerry angelo is an idiot. for every gem he has found, he has 1 or 2 busts. the only boneheaded thing that lovie has done was stick with grossman for so long, and its not like he had a whole bunch of obviously better options.
i am still a little peeved that the bears did not get michael turner...

I know. If I'm Kiffin, I hope Davis fires me so I can get out from under his lunacy - watch some football from my recliner, collect a check for doing nothing and wait for the phone to ring for an '09 job.
And, it most certainly will ring - a lot.
