No way you don't take the second lefty. This would seem absurd to me.

Re: Playoff Preview Chicago Cubs vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Harden is a wild card because he's a five to six inning pitcher. He's VERY hard to score on while he's pitching, so I don't agree with Ballz' prediction that he will get hit around, but he is not as valuable as a guy that you can count on to go 7 or 8 innings -- especially in the playoffs, and especially when your middle relief consists of Bobby Howry.
I think the Cubs win this series, but it's not a slam dunk.

Peter Gammons picks the Dodgers, mainly because the Dodgers top 3 starters are right handed against the Cubs heavily right-handed hitting line-up. But the Cubs have the home field advantage and it should be a great series.

I think... -

So I just got my tickets. They are e-tickets that I bought on ebay. Should I be concerned that the person printed them off for themselves as well?

superdorf- The Cubs had trouble scoring against the Dodgers. Unfortunately the Dodgers also had trouble scoring aginst the Cubs, but the run totals for the season series were about the same. I know you didn't have Soriano for the series, but we didn't have Furcal, Blake or Manny. Like I said, it has the makings of a great series.

I really kind of wish this would be the NLCS matchup. 7 games and Torre and Pinella head to head.

DaddyMac- Agree 100%. I hate to see either the Cubs or Dodgers lose in the first round as I root for the Cubs after the Dodgers and have a lot of good friends that are big Cubs fans.

Re: Playoff Preview Chicago Cubs vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Good write-up. I think it will be a good series that could go 5 games. Everyone talks about the Cubs and their curse, well the Dodgers have one of their own. Since winning the World Series in 1988, the Dodgers have won exactly 1 game in the post season (thank you Jose Lima...)
Anyway I think we'll see some very good pitching and some really good matchups at the plate on both sides. As for the Dodgers, I'm not wild about Jeff Kent coming back because he is a cancer (who calls out Vin Scully, honestly?). I also hope Furcal is well enough to make an impact...I just don't think he'll be ready though. Here's to a good series and LET'S GO DODGERS!!
