    ESPN - Rams fire Linehan; D-coordinator Haslett tapped as interim coach - NFL

    Lane Kiffin may be next in Oakland.. had 15 point lead which isn't much but then lose to San Diego. Hasn't been given much time but when was the last time Al Davis gave anybody time to setup a team.

    Not convinced Kiffin was a bad hire. More convinced that Al Davis hiring him and then immediately handcuffing him by making all his personnel decisions for him was the bad idea.

    Reports are that Al Davis and his band of hoodlums had a meeting earlier today without Kiffin knowing about it.

    Pretty tough to get any continuity when you're changing head coaches every 2 years, sometimes quicker than that.

    Its not Kiffin's fault he has a bad owner. Rumor is Davis wanted to fire him in Jan but didnt want to pay the buyout, so he thought he would make Kiffin resign, Kiffin said I'm staying until you fire me. Makes you want to work for the guy doesnt.
