Not only do they throw trash on the field, but they bring their trash to our ballpark.
attacked a Royals coach, Cubs fans have tried to pin the undeserving "violent" label as a negative stereotype of Sox fans [Ed.'s note: It probably has something to do with incidents like this]. Never mind that Ligue admitted to actually being a Cubs fan... or that it was outside Wrigley Field that a fan was shot and killed
Chicagoist: Cubs Fans Beat Up Sox Fan
Not saying you're wrong, but how about something that doesn't amount to a southside or whitesox blog?
Heres's a blog entry to prove he is a Sox fan.
"He attacked the first base coach at Comisky. He's trash and obviously a White Sox fan".
Has about the same level of credibility, don't ya think?
Even if untrue, it's pretty much irrelevant. You're talking about isolated incidents and acting like it's a true representation of the fan base.
Honestly, do you think someone like that is a true representation of ANY fan base?
And it's rarely the case - especially in the playoffs, that the home team fans are going to simply give ALL the credit to the opposition. Not even the high and almighty White Sox fans do that. Fact is, despite the fact that Lowe pitched well - the Cubs did plenty to help him. Strand scoring position runners with no or one out, no contact by the top of the order, and I agree very questionable decision to leave Dempster with his seven walks and obvious lost control in the game in the 5th when he gave up the slammer - not to mention at a point when the Cubs had the lead. And as said elsewhere, this is on the heels of an 0-fer playoffs last year. Cubs fan had plenty to be disgruntled about last night.
What I don't get is why a couple of White Sox fans are concerning themselves with it, when they have their own series to contend with?
There's not a whole lot to get, Mac. I'm a baseball fan. Nothing got even close to hostile until you thought it was a good idea to post a picture of Ligue.
If you'd like to talk White Sox baseball, I'm always up for it.
A Cubs - White Sox world Series would be grade A for smack talk, too bad the fabric holding together the space-time continum would be torn to shreds if that ever happened.
