Re: Things are shaping up for MLB's biggest nightmare...

don't care, because it is football season and baseball is just to kill the time until football starts (plus the cards are done).

Not true at all! Maybe the Twins part but not the Brewers part! If the Brewers were in the World Series then that meant no Cubs! That played a huge part in keeping the White Sox fans happy!

Baseball season ended on Saturday for me. I don't care who is in the world series.

Based on that, I doubt a Phillies-Rays Series would be a disaster.
Obviously times are completely different now than in 1980! Cable television! College football seemingly televised every night. Those two things by themselves make a dent in the World Series ratings. A Phillies-Rays series would not attract very many viewers west of the Mississippi.

Who cares, for the first time in a long time it's the two best teams.

I really don't think so. You have a team that hasn't been there for over 20 years and a team that just was created 10 years ago.

I watched the American League playoffs for the first time all October tonight, just to watch the Rays play.

I don't plan on missing a single out of the World Series.

Go Phillies!

Go Cyclones! - Go Kohawks!

Yes... And if Fox can do it right, the Rays are a GREAT story.

And that's just the offensive firepower. You've got Hamels, Lidge, Garza, Sheilds, Wheeler and Kazmir on the mound...

I agree with your point, but Victorino is not a future star. He is a good player, but A-Rod and Jeter he is not.

Victorino is a media darling though, and a heck of a good kid. The A-Rod Jeter thing I was really referring to Upton and Longoria.

I'm too lazy to go look... How many of your predictions came to fruition?

Will you be doing a WS preview?
