Position Transition

a friend and i are talking about college quarterbacks who are now playing successfully in the nfl as WRs. (its obvious what brought this up. please try not to get off of track.)

here are some we thought of:
ronald curry
brad smith
antwaan randle el
matt jones

one we thought of that didnt work so well:
eric crouch (this gives you a good hint where my buddy is from...i wouldnt have even brought this guy up)

can you think of anyone we are missing? i feel like there is an obvious one i didnt come up with.

also, what about maybe positions other than WR or non-successful transitions?

We all remember making fun of our little brother. And then that day came when you looked at him and thought "Crap, when did he become taller than me?" There comes a time when you just know your time has passed and it's their spotlight now.

Re: Position Transition

was Hines Ward a college QB? I remember hearing the Stealers had 2 wrs-turned-qb on their team back when Randal-El played for them

Re: Position Transition

I'm pretty sure Hines Ward saw time as QB, RB, and WR while at Georgia.

Only because I'm a big time Rams fan, I know of Marques Hagans, QB at Virginia. He got drafted a few years ago and was finally cut this year.

Kordell Stewart when he was 'slash' could be added to this list.

Arnaz Battle - Niners is who you're thinking of. He started out as a QB for Notre Dame but actually switched in college similar to Austin Flynn.
