Seriously Pujols is nothing but a professional and a class act. I tend to lean towards the team needing to do well. (A-Rod?) But hey, Cards were 10 games OVER .500 in a rebuilding year. Not too shabby. And its already been said his MVPs are well earned, he should have about 4.

It's difficult to stay unbiased when talking about Pujols because I'm a diehard Cards fans, however, I think it's pretty apparent we're all witness to something special. If Pujols can stay healthy (or at least bare the pain to swing a bat like this year), I think Albert will retire as one of the greatest players of all time.
On a sidenote, he's also a classy guy. Has anyone heard about his foundation's work with DS? Amazing...

Funny how we haven't heard any quotes from him yet about how players who can't even get their team to the playoffs shouldn't be getting MVP awards.
