This is a good sign as he's a great person to have in the clubhouse. And after his closing years and transition to being a starter, I think he's deserved it. Ask me this in his first year as starting and I would have though you're nuts.

I'd still like to see the Cubs sign another SP and show Marquis the door. Peavey would be incredible but someone like Randy Johnson or AJ Burnett would work too.
