Re: Vikings Need to Make the switch back to t-jack?

I still don't want to see T Jack out there as much as I don't like Gus' play.
IMO the Vikings need to seriously scour the free agent market for a quarterback this off season. We're stuck with Gus in the short term but he is defintely not the long term solution. I'm not ready to give up on Jackson just yet, but he obviously needs time to develop if he is going to stand any sort of chance of being a viable option in the long term.

I would take Donovan McNabb/Matt Cassel/Kurt Warner...I would rather have the qb's we have now than the other ones you mentioned...

If I were Kurt Warner, I would stay in Arizona unless they are pushing him out after this year. He is the MVP in my mind right now.

Re: Vikings Need to Make the switch back to t-jack?

Does anyone remember the vikings game (Monday night game) last year where Bryant McKinnie introduced T-Jack as Tavaris "We can never understand you in the huddle" Jackson?

Says it all for me. Either the guy can't speak or was not educated in the slightest. I suspect some of both. Too bad to, because he is rather gifted athletically.

I'm sick of Gus Ferrotte. He couldn't be any worse. That said, T-Jack isn't really any better.

NO TJACK

trade him for a 7th round draft pick its worth more

until Gus goes down, stick with him I am not the biggest fan of T-Jack I think his vision looking over the field is not all that great. Also I am not impressed anymore on our coach as well, not playing AP?? what an idiot.

Re: Vikings Need to Make the switch back to t-jack?

I didn't think Jackson was given a chance this year. The play calling for him and Frerotte was completely different. They never allowed Jackson to throw the ball unless it was 3rd and long. He looked good in pre-season when they let him throw off play fakes and one first or second down. I realize it was only pre-season but it was still with the starting unit amd against first team defenses. Frerotte has been getting worse as the season's gone on. I liked him at first, but the last couple games he has been brutal. He has not been accurate lately.

T-Jack was also coming off an injury. He himself won quite a few games last season.

T-jack = NO finesse on his throws, throwing off balance, abandoning the throw to run for 1 yard too early, not realizing defenders put their hands up when he throws and much much more. Keep Gus in.

Re: Vikings Need to Make the switch back to t-jack?

Gus is a career scrub who's best days were about 10 years ago. The Vikings have won in spite of him and with exception of the Houston game has palyed like a sloppy rookie. The Vikings have done everything wrong when it comes to the QB position. I for one blame Chilli, he kept preaching to T-Jack about ball security and then benches him because he is afaid to make mistakes? What Bullstuff. If Vishante Shianco dosn't drop a TD pass in game 1 vs the Packers I seriously doubt we would be having this discussion. T-jack has proven in the past that he can play the position. Last yeer he has a 3 game strech with a QB rating over 95.9. 2 games into this season when he was coming off a knee injury and his starting LT was suspended he get yanked because Chilli is feeling the heat. Chili threw him under the bus and now we as fans have to live with our "level headed vet" who happens to suck. If you look at some of the TDs and deep ball he has thrown it more a case of great catches then great throws.

I'm afraid we'd lose a step with TJax and as much as we arent going anywhere in the playoffs, I want to win the division. Gus has completely sucked however over the last several games and has done more harm than good.
