I was disappointed to hear that one of the legal maneuvers his attorney will use is to file for an appeal - which may take up to one year before another trial is scheduled.
And when waiting for an appeal, the defendant is typically allowed to be released on bail; so it may be possible OJ is out for at least another year.

For sure, but at the same time he isn't going to get the Maximum Life Sentence that someone else could get.
