Too many games decided by a coin flip, there needs to be some way that each team gets the ball atleast once. One thing I like about the NFL OT is that it keeps special teams, IE kickoffs and punts, a part of the action. I say have it like it is now, coin flip, team kicks off, if the offense scores the defense gets the ball and has until they turn it over to score and match them.

I like this:
OVERTIME RULES
* Overtime periods are 15 minutes.
* Each team gets one possession to score. If, after each team has had one possession, one team is ahead, that team wins. If the teams are tied after each has had a possession, the next team to score wins.
I wouldn't mind college rules, except push them back to midfield. At the same time I don't mind the NFL rules usually. It is kind of cool, for example in the SD-Indy game, where it was a run-off-the-field touchdown. Game over. Like a walk-off home run.

Jump Ball (BBall style) at the 50. First team to get the football into the endzone scores. But no D or O, just put 22 men on the feild and let them kill each other over the ball. No plays stop either, just hit, fight, and pull the ball out to do whatever it takes. That should liven up OT :)
