Exactly, fighting in hockey ruins it for me. It's almost a gimmick used to get people to watch. It ruins the sport for me almost like taking dives in soccer.

Not saying I don't like watching the fights... just makes me lose respect for an otherwise seemingly good sport.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. Any other Real professional sport and you wouldn't see those guys for at least a couple of games.

I actually really used to like hocky. Back before everybody and their mothers sports networks hit the air and you could get any sport you want any time. It just got tiring seeing all the fighting. I tried to watch a college game the other day and it's the same thing. Fight, fight, fight. I guess the old joke really is true. "I went to watch a fight the other night and a hockey game broke out."

Yeah, and that's fine that you feel that way. Honestly, I'd be ****** as hell if my favorite sport acted the same way the hockey players do. Nothing would ruin a game for me quicker than to allow football players to act this way. I'm not trying to condemn it, I know that's the way hockey is. I just don't get it. Sorry.

I wonder what kind of supsension the goalie in white got. Two hard hacks on the back of a player with a goalie stick generally isn't considered clean play.

It's generally an unwritten rule that you don't rough up the goalie. That's how this whole thing got started. There was a hit on the goalie when he was out of the crease trying to clear the puck. That's a major no-no, and is a legitimate reason to go to fisticuffs here.
