Zambrano has proven many times over that he cannot control his temper. He showed that even last year on a few occasions. He didn't get into it with another player, but several water jugs etc got knocked around quite a bit. He is his own worst enemy.
One thing about team chemistry is that it's a lot easier for everyone to be happy, when the team is winning...and the Cubs should win a lot...
My prediction is that this is Reed Johnson's final year with the Cubs. Not sure of his contract status, but he'll either get traded or released. He's not that good.
It's all good brothers, those turds from the south side have been obsessed by the Cubs for generations... No use trying to convince them, unless you offer them a schlitz beer to plug their pie hole...
I like this logo:
It's just fun watching the implosion...every single year, to be honest.
If you think hitting over .280...not striking out, and playing excellent defense is "not that good"...I'm not sure how long he'll stay around for, but I don't know hardly any Cub fans that are upset he's with the team...Blue Jay fans were outraged when they let him go...the guy comes to play.
I like the Cubs' outfield this year.
I think So Taguchi will be horrible in Des Moines. I think Soriano will get hurt at some point, but will finish the year "fresh".
I like outfield because we have an option to focus on offense or defense at each position based on our currant roster.
I would love to see Fuku learn to hit again and if he does, I will feel even better.
I'm not that worried about Bradley, he is older and wants to win. Same for Zambrano. I kinda like it when he flips out, gets them fired up.
I think Derek Lee is our biggest question, please cut your hit into double plays in half and I will be pumped!
Our outfield is going to be great this year.
Joey Gathright reminds of Juan Pierre, but with more hustle! Reed Johnson plays his heart out and has a good stick. These young guys will motivate Soriano and Bradley into working harder to keep their jobs
I wouldn't be worried about Bradley's defense. He has been a very good outfielder but just wasn't needed there in Texas. He is a CF playing RF, that's certainly not a bad thing and you know he will hit.
On a less baseless comment than Reed Johnson.....the Cubs better hope Fukudome performs a heck of a lot better this year for what they are paying him. He sure as heck didn't play like 11 million last year.
EDIT: I was impressed by Hoffpauir when I saw him in an ST game last year.
