Since there are some of you who seem to think the Rickett's Family are going to look at "all options", including moving a Chicago Cub affiliate to Omaha. I have a better suggestion:

Why don't the Ricketts just move the Chicago Cubs to Omaha? It amazes me that there are some out there who are touting Omaha's prowess as some up and coming superpower in sports and entertainment...

Last time I checked, the only thing that matters in Nebraska are the Huskers..

Nebraska is home to the Kool-Aid Museum. It's in Hastings, and yes, I've been there.

That big-*** bridge over I-80; I can't remember where it is, but it's some sort of attraction. While you're at it, you can't forget the Ogallala Aquifer.

The OWH has had a couple of stories about the Cubs. Yes, there is talk about trading in the Royals for the Cubs farm team at some point in 2012. More likely is an exhibition game in Omaha for the Chicago Cubs after 2010 27k stadium is built. Yes there has been media talk.

Like I said in my original post. Why should the Ricketts stop at the AAA level? If these people are so masterful and brilliant (speaking about the Rickett family), then why don't they move the Chicago Cubs to Omaha?? By the sounds of (some) people on this board, Omaha will now be the Center of "Cub Universe"...

However, I think the new owners will be just that, OWNERS. I hope they have more brains then to meddle with management and operational affairs..

Unfortunately, we ARE talking about people from Nebraska...
