Stinson
Has anyone gone to watch him this year? Looks like he is having a pretty good year. Averaging 12 and 7, but too many t.o.'s look to be keeping him from the NBA. Also, I just noticed that Steve Alford's long lost butt buddy, Quin Snyder is coaching the Tulsa NBD-L team. Those two have to go through a can of grease a day for their hair.

Re: Stinson
I just watched part of a televised D-League game yesterday of the Energy.
Stinson looks good. Maybe it was the low-quality broadcast, but he looks leaner and more sculpted than I remember him. He is playing the point, and his ballhandling, passing, and decision-making also impressed me.

Ive heard alot about him for the energy in the news paper

Re: Stinson
I went to the opening night at the Well and watched him. I found myself missing him at ISU. He has great handles, great instincts, was leading the team, and was smart with the ball. He still can't shoot a lick...
Until he learns to shoot, I don't think he will be going to NBA.

Re: Stinson
Stinson isn't really looking to score in the D-League. He goes through stretches of sloppy handling and passing, but the entire D-League is like that. Not a huge fan of it. Guys don't run as hard, and they don't try as hard. I was hoping that in a D-League format, guys would be giving their all trying to make it. Instead, many of them come off as lazy.
I am not saying Stinson is that way, but he isn't playing with a fire under his *** either...
Bottom line: A guard that can't score at will doesn't typically make it to the NBA...

Re: Stinson
It was good to see that Curt really hasn't changed his game...he still glares at the refs with his hands out everytime he is called for a foul/loses the ball and thought it should have been a foul...
The game last night was sure good for some laughs, especially when the big guy on the other team got ejected. The crowd was terrible; less people than are normally in the ISU student section at games.

upon further investigation: "IOWA’S NICK NURSE AND AUSTIN’S QUIN SNYDER TO COACH 2009 NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE ALL-STAR GAME NEW YORK, Jan. 29, 2008 – Iowa Energy head coach Nick Nurse and Austin Toros head coach Quin Snyder will coach the 2009 NBA D-League All-Star game in Phoenix on February 14, it was announced today. Nurse, Snyder, and their assistants earned the honor by securing the best winning percentages in the league through Jan. 27." from the NBA web site.

Until he learns to shoot, I don't think he will be going to NBA. This is keeping him from sniffing the "real" NBA.

Mr Quinn Grease Snyder, please meet Mr. Frank Vasoline Martin and Steve Slick Alford. Just do not shake their hands.
