Let me start with saying I know virtually nothing about HIV/Aids except how bad it is and to never ever get it. That said while Aids is pretty terminal It has been 2-3 years since he was diagnosed, by now if he is still alive I imagine he has it under control with the triple cocktail of drugs and is healthier.

That said i was unaware that Alomar had this disease and it sucks because being a die hard Indians fan, he was my favorite player growing up. I wish he and his family (and his ex-girlfriend) well. Good luck Alomar.

Wish him well? Are you serious? The man had HIV/AIDS knew it and gave it to someone...favorite player my *** why not just push her infront of a bus, if she's quick maybe the bus misses her..just about the same thing.

You don't get AIDS through spit.

From the Red Cross website:

AIDS (a result of HIV infection) is caused by a virus (HIV). There are no known cases of saliva by itself spreading HIV (the virus that causes AIDS). However, because there could be a risk of blood contact during prolonged open-mouth kissing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends against doing this with a partner who has HIV.

So unless Robbie and that ump did a lot more than what the cameras caught, there is no reason for the ump to get tested.

No. I can honestly say that I wouldn't.

It's misleading information like that which causes a lot of the stigma towards people with HIV and needs to be debunked whenever possible.
