Card fans are passionate I lived in STL for 2 yrs and they dont care about anything but Cards baseball! it is yr round for them just like the cubbies

its extremely hard to make the argument that Cards fans are more passionate than Cubs fans...... have you been to wrigley? even when the team sucks, its packed every game

.....kinda like ISU basketball/football fans. havent won a championship in forever, but we still always show up! haha

I think the Cardinal was saying that the Cubs playing in front of 40,000 every day is a relatively new thing. It seems like a lot of Cubs fans don't remember September of 2006, when they played home games in front of MAYBE 15,000 people. People just didn't want to waste their time.
