I wonder if the $680,000 is how much more the hit is if they would have kept him?

Re: T.O. released!!!
Could not care less how much he's counting on the '09 cap. It's not like there are receivers in free agency he could be replaced with anyway.
He needed to go. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
TO was most certainly part of the problem.
But note, he is/was not the only problem in Dallas - the Cowboys have many and IMO, now the biggest problem is the head coach.

Say what you want about Roy Williams or Crayton etc etc they simply don't produce like TO....
I'm really surprised this happened as this is a huge blow to the salary cap for Dallas - which means we realistically won't be signing anyone to replace him.
However, unlike a lot of teams, this time next year Dallas will have a lot of cap room.
I hope they can bring in someone like Marvin Harrison or even a Torry Holt if he's released. These guys will mentor our young receiving corp the right way and i think both have some tread left as a number 2 receiver not to mention the role should be appealing in Star Helmet, new stadium, Roy Williams on the other side.
So Stephen and Co that wanted TO gone, you got your wish, now if this team falters offensively this will be put squarely at your feet!!!! If this mends the locker room and the team plays together then the skys the limit, this team has the talent to win a super bowl - does it have the chemistry??? what is so appealing about a star helmet? ans: nothing...

In the deed the glory..........the glory is above! -

Patty cake coaches meaning lovie and wade.
I want a guy that drinks baby seal tears for breakfast like singletary, not someone who coddles these idiots like lovie.

Re: T.O. released!!!
I am really hoping the Raiders DO NOT sign T.O.!!!!!!!!!! For one thing, he is a plague to all franchises and the Raiders do not need those problems and also, he's 35 YEARS OLD!!!! With the 7th pick in the draft, they could easily take a good receiver if they choose like Crabtree, Maclin, Harvin, etc.....
I am a Raiders fan and DO NOT like this idea!!!

but I'd agree. he's not really a poster boy for "thug" like those other two. Good point. Those are all good descriptions. Except for the thug, like you said. He's more mouth than thug.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience. -
