I don't think he was knocking ISU, just said he didn't do a lot of passing there. I could identify with a lot Sage said. Four channels growing up and scooping off the driveway in 20 degree weather to shoot hoops every day.

That was my take, too. I just thought it could be interpreted differently.
I, too, had four channels, but had the luxury of a heated, indoor basketball hoop!

Eventually we got smart and cleared a spot in our hayloft and hung a hoop. It was pretty cool, hardwood floor, bails of hay to use as screeners and plenty of pigeons to **** on you while you're playing.

Mine was an 8-foot hoop in my dad's shop. Cement floors, low ceilings (for some creative bank shots), mounted almost flush with the wall. Great dunkability...when we were really little, it was cool to get a running start, jump, push off the wall, and dunk. In the summer, you could open the garage door and have some more creative H-O-R-S-E shots from outside.
