The Cutler Situation
I'm not really a Broncos fan, but I have a couple friends who are, so I've been following the situation with Cutler ever since it erupted a month or two ago. I was just kind of curious what you all thought about who was "to blame," if anyone. Personally, I feel for Cutler as it seems like he has ended up being a kind've last resort for McDaniels since he couldn't get his own guy in there. I don't have any information other than what I've read on ESPN.com and heard on TV, but that's just the feel I've gotten from the situation. What do you all think?

Re: The Cutler Situation
I am thoroughly amused at the situation. I have no ill will toward Denver, didn't bother me they changed coaches (which I think was not necessary).
But losing their HC and Cutler with no real good option there to take his place is just too funny.

Re: The Cutler Situation
I voted neither but not because this is typical NFL business. Its because they are both morons.

First managements fault, then Cutler's fault, then managements fault again.

Re: The Cutler Situation
The situation is pretty bush league if you ask me. Cutler whining like a spoiled 12 year old and Denvers front office pulling the "he our quarterback" line. The Bronco's management needs to learn how to keep their plans a secret until they are done, and Cutler needs to grow up and realize it quit being a game when you started collecting a very fat paycheck.

Re: The Cutler Situation
Cutler needs to shut his little whiny mouth and realize that the NFL is a business

Re: The Cutler Situation
It doesn't matter to me, but I'd have to say Cutler. I've never been a fan of his, but he has acted like a three year old through this whole situation. I'm not sure how somebody with his record can act like they should be untradeable.

Re: The Cutler Situation
Managements fault for trying to trade him...
Then Cutler's fault for continuing to whine (initial whining ok)
Managements fault for not making him feel he is secure in his job (we may trade you still)
Now both of their faults since they can't figure anything out...

Re: The Cutler Situation
I'm a big Broncos fan and I think both sides are at fault, but the communication between the 2 parties is obviously dysfunctional.
If I'm McDaniels and I get hired as the HC, I really shouldn't have to butter up & reassure anybody b/c I'm now in charge and I was brought in to replace a hall of fame coach for a reason. With that said, it is now my responsibility to make sure my intent & communication are very clear to everyone on the team I inherited, but especially the all-pro QB. I shouldn't have to make excuses for trying to aquire my own QB who know my system, but since that deal fell through, it's now my responsibility to put the best QB on the field for our team next year and that QB is Jay Cutler.
If I'm Cutler, I need to keep an open mind going into a new coaching staff and prove to the new staff that I'm the guy they want on the field evey Sunday and I lead the 2nd rated offense for a reason. Cutler claims to have gotten all of these promises from Bowlen (keep former OC's on staff, etc.) after Shanny was let go, but if you're Cutler, why should you be entitled to promises from the owner of the team in the 1st place? The new HC is an excellent former OC that lead some of the best offenses in NFL history, so quit crying and go out on the field and prove you can lead the team......end of story.
It's obvious that they could have a pretty d*mn good team with a lot of sucess for years to come if they made amends - otherwise nobody would really be talking about this and it wouldn't be such a big issue.
Solution = Showing some respect, swallowing your pride and just playing football.
