What this series lacks is a comeback. Keep comin Chicago!
The Bulls just got an extra point because the refs missed a three-point shot in the first half. I've never seen that before.
Not sold on Del Negro....Too many stupid mistakes on defense, and dumb shots on offense
Agree about Gordon and lazy D, but I really hate all the switching it gets so many mismatches and with the Bulls small guards it makes it hard to defend.
Come this summer, Gordon may be wishing he signed that extension. I hope they don't resign him, even if it is at a reduced rate. He is a good player, but takes too many shots. Rose will develop better without Gordon there. Hinrich also is coming on again, and I hope he finds playing time.
I agree...this entire series, Gordon just looked like a street player going for his on the playground. He was a rally killer so often.
Just got home and fast forwarded through the game. Not shocked by the outcome. As a Bulls fan I'm encouraged. This team actually played above themselves. For a team that had a rookie head coach, key additions late in the regular season, injuries Hinrich early season and Deng at the end, and a PG who last year played a 40 game season playing a 82 + season this year I say they did well. Get everyone healthy add a few key FA/draft additions and this is a team that can be in contention for a middle to upper finish in the Eastern Conference.
Here's to hoping that Ben Gordon has played his last game as a Chicago Bull. Signing him long-term would cripple them.
His random nights of lights out shooting is going to fool a GM into giving him a lot of money. One would think Paxson has seen him enough to know not to make that kind of commitment. He already gave a horrible contract to Deng.
I'm not as anti-Gordon as some of you on here because I've watched him a lot more than just in this series but I agree he needs to go somewhere else. His absence will hurt the Bulls next year but I think it's just time for him to go somewhere he doesn't have to be the number one scorer. Then again, if Rose is ready to be the man next year that could help Gordon out.
Paxson is an awful awful gm. It's amazing the Bulls even made the playoffs this year with guys like Paxson and Del Negro running the team. I wouldn't say Deng's contract was horrible just because of what he was showing prior to getting it, people really thought he'd become a perennial all-star.
Have you seen how much he is making and for how long? If you have and still feel that way, we're going to have to agree to disagree. I think he is a good third option on a good team, and they're paying him like he's a 1 or a 2.
Signing Gordon is going to require a long-term deal and will cripple any chance they have of making a splash in the summer of 2010. The Bulls will be an attractive destination for a superstar to come in and play with Rose.
