LeBron vs Kobe

So vitamin water is doing this, and it was the cover story in slam magazine. I obviously say LeBron. He has better stats, a better team, and he's a better teammate. Most people's only arguement for Kobe is that he has 3 championships, so I guess they also think that Rick Fox and Derek Fisher are better than LeBron because they won those same 3 championships. Who do you think is the better player, and why?

As much as I hate to say this if I had to pick one player to take the game winning shot for my team, it would be Kobe. If you were looking to build a team for the future right now you would obviously take Lebron. Better player? Toss up, but I'd give the edge to Kobe. The guy is capable of scoring in so many different ways that I don't think even Lebron is capable of yet.

Interesting.... I have noticed that usually Kobe shoots the ball regardless of how many people are guarding him whereas Lebron usually gives it up unless he has a 1-on-1 matchup.

Personal preference, but I'd still take Kobe.

Which is why LeBron has more game winning shots, and one of the reasons Kobe has been labeled as a selfish player throughout his career.

I'm not sure how you could make the argument to take Kobe over Lebron at this point in time. More minutes, more points, more rebounds, more assists, more blocks, less drama. Seems pretty cut and dry.

So judging by these criteria you would take Dwyane Wade over both of them then right? More points, assists, blocks, steals, and minutes than LeBron. I would take Kobe, he has better players around him so he does not need to do as much as LeBron does. It is close but for now I will still take Kobe.

D. Wade has also had some health issues the past few years. I'd still pick James simply because he has been solidly, consistently great.

Their career stats would disagree with you here, not to mention Lebron misses many fewer games than D-Wade.

Better scorer? Kobe
Better player? LeBron
Better locker room guy? Lebron

Give me Lebron. The guy is going to lead a bunch of stiffs to the NBA finals. Mo Williams is the only respectable player he has around him. Big Z is way past his prime, as is Ben Wallace. I've always been a Kobe guy but LeBron has amazed me.
