I just don't get the appeal in Gruden, but maybe I haven't heard him talk enough. Supposedly the guy is funny and smart, but I won't be able to tolerate much arrogance from him.
I wouldn't mind a guy like Stuart Scott or Van Pelt joining the MNF crew.......I also think Tony Dungey would be a good fit b/c he doesn't have that smugness to him and he's a hall of fame coach that knows what he's talking about......Gruden?....I guess we'll find out. :skeptical:
Well, it is an improvement, but who knows how good Gruden will be.
We will still have to listen to Tirico's unauthentic personality and fake announcing, along with Jaws giggling though.
They should get dan patrick or jim Rome. LOL
Gruden is going to suck.... he was terrible in a 1 minute interview on Sportcenter that night... idk how we can expect any different from him in the booth....
Anybody has to be better than Kornhole, he was annoying to the point of turning the game off. Gruden will hopefully have some good football insight and be able to get the point across to the fanbase.
Buck up camper, I liked Miller as well, so you are not alone.
One of my all time favorite comments that he made was during a Saints game during the pre season. Fouts and Michaels were commenting on the Saint's prospects for the offensive side of the ball for the year, and Dan Fouts asked Dennis what he thought. Miller responded in the most sarcastic tone I think I have ever heard and said, "I think you're right. Nobody hands the ball off like Billie Joe Tolliver. I don't have to tell you that, Dan." The comment was funny enough on its own, but what was priceless was the fact that it went complete over Fouts' head. He paused for a couple seconds trying to formulate a cohesive answer, and then finally blurted something in agreeement, and the show went on from there. I was dying by then.
