Hoiberg doesn't get T-Wolves job
MPR: Source: Wolves tap Kahn to head basketball ops
It doesn't sound too good that they are saying that now Hoiberg's status with the team is uncertain.
Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. -

Re: Hoiberg doesn't get T-Wolves job
I think Fred would be a great GM or VP of basketball ops for an NBA team. I agree though that he would do well to get out of that organization. I live in Des Moines so the T-wolves are the closest team to me and I forget they exist half of the time and I follow the NBA quite a bit.

I really curious am Hoiberg's skills at evaluating talent and making financial decisions based on that talent.
IMO, former players aren't best served to work in the front office....

Ok, maybe you're right.
Jerry West has done ok, though.

Ok, maybe you're right.
Jerry West has done ok, though. The thing with Jerry West is that he's so far removed from the current batch of players that he looks at them differently than some of the ones from the 1980s, 1990s, currently in these positions...

I think he'd be better as an assistant coach or something to that effect.

McHale really has been a disaster. Every year it looks more and more like drafting Garnett was just a lucky guess on his part more than anything else. They really picked the wrong side when McHale and Saunders had their falling out.

Hoiberg should do what BJ Armstrong did, he didnt get the job with the Bulls and he is now an agent for NBA players. Sweet gig. Fred might not be as well known as BJ but he could be successful.

I think Fred would make a great AD. Good with people, familiar with athletes, knows the business side too.

But I can't understand why people think he's great in the front office. The T-Wolves need to go in a new direction - that means clean house.
