NoShonn Moreno and Matt Stafford, would you have gone pro this year? If I was them, I wouldn't have. They ****** off a lot of UGA fans with the 2008 season considering what was expected of them at this time last year. If they had returned in 2009, they could probably win a MNC and it would appease all the disappointed UGA fans

they were both 1st round draft picks. stafford was number 1 overall. Moreno was 12. are you really saying they should have risked injury for the chance at a nat'l championship?

what exactly was there to gain for them in coming back?

If the Georgia fans are really upset at them for leaving after what they did accomplish then that's their problem. If I were these two I would forget about them and move on with your career. To be that selfish for a fanbase to be ****** at a guy for leaving early to be the #1 pick is just amazing to me.

No god damn way I would stay... they were both top 15 picks... they're rich and both in great situations... Knowshon will probably enjoy 1000 yards as a bronco and Matt Stafford might win a game for the lions... VERY good decision for both of them...

As a matter of personal decision, that can be debated......but based on a business decision it was obvious they had to go.

As in, "he's no Shonn Green!" But I digress. I think a big part of the reason that Stafford (and Sanchez) came out early was because Sam Bradford stuck around for another year at OU.

I think there were some projections that had Bradford at #1 if he had came out, and thats why Sanchez did. I can't say the same for Stafford, but I can see "bust" written on his forehead just as well as anyone else can.

on topic though, they made the right choice coming out early, they wouldn't be the favorites to win a national championship next year and they're playing in a very tough SEC where any week could knock them down in the rankings.... way i see it, 1st and 12th overall isn't to shabby...
