Actually, putting the Flag on any athletic uniform or the flag being on any type of clothing is against the Flag Code and is considered as disrespecting the Flag. Yes it happens a lot, but especially on a day like Memorial Day I think its better to find a different way to show tribute to our Veterans than disrespecting the Flag Flag Code
Section 8d. - The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.
Section 8j.
No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

Re: Cubs red Hats
I think the red hats look good on the Twins, especially when wearing their throwbacks (like they did last nite)... Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

They act all noble, like they are doing such great honor for memorial day, but the only reason they do this is so they can sell more hats and make more money.
