I thought there was a thread once about this but I didn't find it. Looking at going to a game this weekend, haven't been to one since they've remolded. How is that area now, and does anyone have a recommendation on where to sit out there now? I think they have a more party-ish atmosphere and that sounds like fun.
It was a blast when we were down there for opening weekend with the Yankees in town. I was never down there before the remodel, but the stadium from the outside looks kinda crappy in my opinion. Once we got inside though, it was very, very nice. We sat in the upper deck in the 6th row behind the plate and had a great view. Took a walk around the stadium and there were a lot of things to like about it. The display in center field is nothing short of amazing. If you can find a way to get tickets to a game Greinke pitches, you'd really be sitting sweet. I'll try and post some pictures when I get off at 5 if this thread isn't dead yet.
I haven't been since the renovation, but you really can't go wrong with any of the seats at the K, and for the most part the seating configuration hasn't really changed. I think the lower seats in the upper deck are a great balance between quality seats and value if you are looking to save some cash, but the lower level is a better overall experience.
Oh, and show up wayyyy early for batting practice. The guys on the right field line for both teams were throwing balls to fans left and right if you've got a younger person with you. :smile:
I don't mind spending a little cash but I've generally sat in the lower part of the upper bowl. I was wondering if anyone wandered over to that new area by the fountains and whats that like?
the new outfield boxes are pretty cool. the only down side is the limited view of the jumbo screen. But sitting next to the fountains is fun.
There is a party deck behind right field that has a decent bar, and you can sit on the roof to watch the game.
I believe there are standing room only tickets throughout the outfield, and i think they only cost something like $7.00

The improvements were certainly much needed and done very well. It probably made Kauffman a top 15 stadium in baseball.
