To answer your question: If the guy is literally automatic for five yards per play you take him, run the ball every down, never go more than 20 plays between touchdowns, win the Super Bowl, and retire the guy as a hall of famer after three MVP seasons.

Take the first guy. The second guy is more exciting, but the first guy allows you to run a consistent offense.

That's pretty lofty territory; a cursory look at pro-football reference.com shows two RB's who averaged five yards / carry over their entire careers, namely Jim Brown & Barry Sanders. Eric Dickerson and Walter Payton each did it one season.

Shonn probably is not on that level. I know, I'm out on a limb here, but he might not be a Hall of Famer.

I really appreciated the year he had, but this guy is really pushing reality with his worship of the man.

Yea Shonn had one great year of college, and he was fun to watch after the 3rd game last season

I think he'll be lucky to have a career similar to Ron Dayne's

Give me the play maker. #1, big play guys put butts in the seats. #2 a big guy, that can't catch and can gain 5 yards a run will be much easier to find.
