I personally think its a shame that anyone ever wore the number 21 again, especially some bums like Marquis and Bradley.

OR maybe he took a translater so he wouldn't say anything that he doesn't mean. My god, you guys are really digging deep to connect Sosa to steroids.

As for the original post, I'm torn about Sammy. I loved the way he played the game. He was always good to the fans (except maybe at the very end) and played his heart out (again, except maybe at the end). His career forever changed when he got beaned. He was never the same after that. It will be interesting to see if he gets in the hall. Especially considering he was never suspended nor indicted. I'll be ok whether he does or doesn't get in, really...

Well we're at it, wheres darryl strawberry these days? And guess what, those guys are garbage. I'll give Pettitte the benefit of not using them to get better, but to get back on the field. I lost most of the respect I had for A-Roid as a baseball player. Giambi was the same way. Unfortunately I look at baseball right now and wonder how many players are lying.
Darryl Strawberry...my guess is a correctional facility?
I look like a hypocrite for saying Pettitte isn't a scumbag when he admitted using HGH, but in my mind there's a difference between using it to get back on the field, and using it to be better on the field.
Bonds? Scum.
Giambi? Scum.
A-Roid? Scum.
Palmeiro? Scum.
Canseco? Scum.
McGwire? Scum.
Sosa? Scum.
Manny? Scum.

Considering the era, you really don't have to dig as deep as you'd like to imply. And while he may be a scumbag ******* who's seeking revenge on everyone who didn't get the shaft like he did, at this point I tend to trust Jose Canseco's accusations as opposed to those that he has accused simply because he's been dead on the money each and every time (he certainly had A-Rod pegged the whole time A-Rod continually insisted that he wasn't doping, didn't he...).

Well the fact that he is being shady about it makes me lose respect for him and suspect that he did. He was my favorite player while he was playin, but towards the tail end of his career it just seemed he wasnt the same. This isn't true. In his book, he claimed to have something on Bret Boone. According to his story, he was on second base in a spring training game against the Mariners when he asked Boone how he got so big. Boone smiled back and said "shhhhh," implying he was on steroids. However during the season he was referring to Canseco only reached second base against Seattle once during spring training, and Boone wasn't even in the game.

But absolutely right - no way any of them should get in before Ron Santo, and I'll even throw out Andre Dawson (and it's pretty well known here that I'm no Cubs fan).
