Re: Wolves may trade Kevin Love?
This will be interesting to see what the Wolves do as rumours have come out that Jefferson, Foye, Miller and Love have all been talked about in deals. I don't think the Jefferson thing was totally true but the rest of these could be.

Some guys are ****** that McHale got fired, and if they're not going to be motivated in MN, then screw them.
Nothing was working, so I'm 100% fine with completly rebuilding. The Jefferson, Foye, Miller, and Love combo didn't get us much.
Jefferson is an All-Star caliber player but is injury prone. The guy is only 24 and has already had a slew of injuries; he's just not durable and that will only get worse as he ages.

He's not the type of guy you build a franchise around, which is really what you want in a top 5 draft pick. You also need explosive guards to be good in the NBA. The Timberwolves weakest areas are with their guard play. If you can combine Al Jefferson with an explosive guard, you will win more games than combining Al Jefferson and Kevin Love.
If we keep him, I won't be ******, but I also think he's very tradeable, especially for the right player/pick.

I don't know what combination of picks and players will get it done but 2 first rounders and someone like Tyrus Thomas should be able to get you someone decent. There have been several rumors floating around they might look at a move for Camby or Kaman who the Clippers look to be unloading 1 of them. I also saw one floating around out there they could dangle Deng out there in some kind of deal for Shaq. Personally I think Salmons is much better than Deng and the Bulls played better with Salmons starting at SF than they did when Deng was so I wouldn't mind trading Deng in a deal for a big man either.

Re: Wolves may trade Kevin Love?
True Jefferson has been injury prone and I totally agree with everyone should be avaliable. But trading Jefferson for Amare makes no sense when Jefferson is signed for 4 more years and Amare is going to walk after this one. If they trade Jefferson they need to get a bunch for him not just one player that is going to leave after a year. I'd like to see Foye and Brewer traded this offseason and then trade Miller at the deadline when you may actually get more for him

I understand that McHale's plan was to trade Love for Brackins, but for some reason, even T-Wolves management didn't think they could pull that off.

Re: Wolves may trade Kevin Love?
What's interesting is Jefferson has been linked to the Suns for Amare, Foye has been linked to Philly which is a funny because when KG was there they could have had AI if they were willing to trade Foye, Miller has beeen linked to the Clippers for Kamen but the Clips want to trade Camby for him and Love has been linked to Memphis for the 2nd pick be a very interesting offseason and draft week for Wolves fans

They DID offer Foye, but it wasn't enough for Philly, as that was the ONLY T-Wolves player Philly wanted.

Re: Wolves may trade Kevin Love?
e wildcard in all this are the Minnesota Timberwolves, who could throw a wrench in things by trading up to #2 to take Ricky Rubio. Sources say that Rubio’s camp has warmed up significantly to David Kahn and the Timberwolves organization as of late, and that they would not be opposed to him landing there. The catch is that the rookie scale salary slot of the #6 pick would not be sufficient in terms of satisfying Rubio’s gigantic buyout from DKV Joventut, so Kahn would have to trade into the top three to make that happen.
At this point, Kahn is holding firm on not putting Kevin Love on the table for the right to move up in the draft, and is instead trying to acquire another pick to entice Memphis to swap with them. As other media outlets have reported, they are targeting Washington’s #5 pick, but are only offering some combination of Randy Foye, Mike Miller and the #18 pick, which probably won’t get it done. -
Re: Wolves may trade Kevin Love?
The Bulls resigning Gordon would be a huge mistake. The man is a black hole and cancer to an offense
