I dont get why the Cubs arent winning more.. here is today's starting line up.
.225, .282, .234, .277, .217, .264, .232, .203, .100
But then again its only June 17th so its too early to worry.
Im about to officially declare it football season.

Re: Cubs offense
There are going to be changes...according to ESPN.
They hint that Soriano could be dropped in the order, although he isn't the only one to blame.
Either way they better get it straightened out by Friday, I'll be there to see DeRo come back to Wrigley!
I love me some Jethros BBQ!

That would make way too much sense.
It doesnt really matter when he gets on.. nobody else is going to move him over or drive him in.
For a team that relied very heavily on the long ball last year, they have been pathetic hitting the ball out of the park.

Im about to officially declare it football season. I remember a month ago I practically declared the season over after one of those awful blown save types of losses......I was chastised as it was "too early in the season" to be panicking and that everyone would have to start hitting at some point. Well, here we are, and this team is only still within arm's reach of the division lead because the rest of the division sucks. The Cubs have blown big time chances to get up into the division lead....and the reason is that they have absolutely no clutch hitting.
This is about an 80 win team this year. 80 wins won't get the division or the wild card. At this point last year, the 2008 team had scored something like 125 more runs than this year's team. That is freaking nuts....more than 2 runs more per game. Those 2 runs more per game would probably have won another dozen games or so this year.

I meant pathetic compared to how this team was expected to perform.

They keep him at the leadoff spot because he's "better" there, and because he completely sucked for the two games they moved him down.
And now, what is he doing? Batting horrifically!! But wait... he's in the leadoff spot! That doesn't make sense! /sarcasm
Anyways, enough of my rant.. I still don't like Aaron Miles but he did get at least ONE freaking hit, so I can't complian too much.
Hoffpauir needs to get SOME at bats, Fontenot shouldn't play against lefties, and Soto needs to get in gear or GTFO.

Let's have a new thread everyday about the cubs problems for the rest of the season. This is so much fun. -
