I just hope when the Vikings play the Packers at Green Bay that Favre does not have a flashback and throw to the wrong team.

You mean when he had a torn muscle in his throwing arm?! Yeah he sucked then. Otherwise he was a flippin Pro Bowler.

People that say that Brett Favre sucks are delusional. The guy has been a top 6 (if not better) QB in the league 1 3/4 out of the last 2 seasons

He'll do that without the flashback.

You're right, I'm sure the chances of something like that happening again at age 40 are minimal. I'm sure he'll bounce right back from that off season surgery too, being such a young buck and all. October 5th, MNF, should be a good watch!

Re: Let the circus begin..Favre to wear purple.

As a Packers fan, let me just say this...I have loved watching Favre play for my whole life, and even in parts of last year with the Jets, it was enjoyable to watch him. But this whole thing is just too much. The man deserves no respect anymore; he's doing this all out of spite, retribution against the Packers for what exactly I'm not sure. He is so incredibly egotistical, it's just beyond belief, way more than I ever thought, and certainly way more than even most other NFL players, which is saying a lot. I mean, there comes a point when even though you feel you can still play, you just force yourself to hang it up and be respectful, but he isn't interested in that. He's acting like a toddler, forcing everyone else to wait on him hand and foot, making teams leave a spot open until the last minute, year after year after year, and then refusing to just say, "let it go." Total drama queen.

And as for Sage, like everyone else has been saying, poor guy. As much as it will be hard to root against Favre (it's such a habit to pull for him), this is just beyond acceptable for a Packers fan, and really, for a Vikings fan too. I mean, this guy is screwing you guys long-term. He might be a better QB than Sage or TJ right now, but can he even get through the whole season, especially after the injury? Watch one of those two leave, and then Brett goes down in like week 4. If I was a Vikings fan, I really would be ******...I mean, sure, it would be sweet for you guys if Favre goes into Lambeau and beats the Packers, but how long will it really last, and is it worth that one victory? I guess it could make Favre finally go away...

Poor Sage, he never gets a break.
My first ISU basketball game - Fred Hoiberg was on the court.
My first ISU football game - Paul Rhoads was on the sidelines.
But they hadn't yet reached their full potential.

SO PROUD that things have come full circle. #cyclONEnation

Yeah, I like Sage, he's a nice guy, had a chance to meet him briefly once and talk to him, very down to Earth and approachable. But, he just isn't NFL starter material, imo. I think he's a career backup that can be serviceable as a starter when needed, but I wouldn't want to bank a playoff ready franchise on his ability to take me to the Super Bowl.

That is not the first time Favre has faded at the end of a season. Over the last 5 years in the last 4 games of the season, Favre's completion percentage has dropped 9 points and he has thrown 34 interceptions and just 13 touchdowns. It's good that you are making excuses for Favre already, get use to it, Packer fans did it from 1998 to 2007.

I'd rather give out free prostate exams at the Gospel Mission than watch Favre play for my Vikings one down.

The Bears are gonna rip his throwing arm out of its socket and beat him to death with it.

Oooooh, then I get to cheer for Sage again.

Some of your comments are fair and probably correct. But how do we know that Favre was stringing the Vikings along? I really don't think he did at all. Most of the reports by ESPN ended up being 100% incorrect. They took any rumor they heard and ran with it. And why not? If they were incorrect, people would just assume it was Brett changing his mind again.

What excuses for his future did I make? I don't remember or see any from my previous posts?

Trust me I was right there with you backing up Brett the last 5 years. He is my favorite player even though he played for the Packers.

I think people are kidding themselves if they don't think this helps the Vikings. The guys with a bum arm is better than anyone else the Vikings have and I will go on record saying the Vikings will get a 1st round bye next year. He instantly makes that team legit
