Re: Let the circus begin..Favre to wear purple.
Reading through the article, at the end it says that TJ would be the likely odd man out to be traded. I hope that is not the case. Booty wears no. 4 now, but I would rather they trade or get rid of him than TJ. At least TJ has some experience.

Re: Let the circus begin..Favre to wear purple.
I will be very curious to see how this affects AP's yards next season. Look, they're not paying Brett Favre to come in an hand the ball off to Peterson 30 times a game. They want him firing the ball down field and every so often, pulling a circus play out of his butt.
I will say that Favre does make the receivers around him look MUCH better than advertised (See: Jerricho Cotchery), so it'll be interesting to see how he does with Minnesota's wide outs (especially Percy Harvin - he's more worth watching this year than Favre).
As a Packer fan and a Favre fan, this hurts to see. But at the same time, I'm a Packer fan moreso than a Favre fan, so I'll be at Lambeau in November when they come to town and I will boo him with the other 70,000+ at Lambeau. I wouldn't miss it for the world. Then, years after he does finally hang it up, I'll applaud him when his number is finally added to the rafters of the stadium.
Until then, Favre is a marked man once again in the NFC North, now by a whole new team.
I believed in Gene Chizik and all I got was this lousy limited-edition commemorative coin. -

QB's who have been behind Favre have gone on to be solid NFL QB's (Rodgers and Hasselback). I agree that that the Vikings should look at keeping TJ. He has some athletic ability and IMO has potential. Maybe a year or two watching Favre will get him over the top

You can't teach a guy how to throw a ball hard.
TJ can throw a football through a brick wall....provided he hits the brick wall.

Re: Let the circus begin..Favre to wear purple.
I was a Packer fan long before Favre, and I will be long after, but just remember, Vikes fans, he took us to the promised land once, 13 years ago, when he was at the tip top of his game. Ever since, he has been good, but for every great moment, there was an oops moment. I like what I see in Rodgers, he actually works within the system, something Favre has and will never do. 4 will be retired in Green Bay someday, but now it's a toss-up wether he'll be alive to see it happen.
