If they get even one run in both/either of those innings, it might have been a different game.
That being said, if a birdie had told me Thursday night that the Cubs would split this weekend, I would have taken it in a heartbeat. Win tomorrow, and there is a better than even chance that they go into the break in 1st place. Good point on the chance for 1st place.
I cringed last year when Soriano came up with guys on base. He's not the best of clutch hitters.
Only one thing to do: go get 'em tomorrow.

Only one thing to do: go get 'em tomorrow. I think the Brewers are off Monday, and then they play St. Louis and Los Angeles to finish up. Cubs have Atlanta and 4 with the Cardinals.
Ideally, they'll go 5-2 in these last 7 games.

Re: Soriano moved down in lineup!
Aramis has been hitting the ball really hard in his rehab...from what I've heard.
Thats great news in my book and will definately help.
I dont see 5-2...but I likw how you think.

Blegh. I knew the game was over when Harden had given up 7 in 3. You just can't expect to have a chance to win with that type of pitching performance. Granted, I'd like to get more than 2 runs... but the outcome would've been the same I think even with more.

If the Cubs can even think about taking 3 of 4 from the Brewers, and winning the last couple of series.. the all-star break should be that much more relaxing.

Re: Soriano moved down in lineup!
Im almost sure they said that Blanco didn't have any options. Fox could have been the other that didn't im not sure. Don't the Cubs have like 4 games in hand on St.Louis and the Brewers?
