You guys leave Teahan alone. He's been one of my favorite Royals for years. Funny dude too.

I caught my first Royals game at Kauffman on the 4th and it was a good time. I'd hate to see someone like Teahan leave, especially since he's younger and the team is young. Just once I wish ownership would say screw it and keep a group together.

With the Cubs sending money to almost cover Freels contract they ought to get a decent player back most likely a class A pitcher?

Wouldn't plan on it. Freel still blows. He might net a Class A pitcher, but not likely anyone that's a decent prospect.

I don't expect a lot for him but with the Cubs basically paying almost all of his salary they ought to get someone that has a little bit of an upside

Extra innings: Ryan Freel was dealt to Kansas City for a player to be named later or cash considerations. They have until Oct. 15 to decide which way to go.

Via Twitter, Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star reports that the Royals designated Ryan Freel for assignment to clear roster space for Kyle Davies. The Cubs traded Freel to the Royals about a month ago after acquiring him from the Orioles back in May. He's hitting .244/.306/.289 in 18 games this season
