Gimme some Ryan Dempster for a perfect game.

Me, too. Having WGN as a child really roped me in good.

    Re: Cubs fans, unite!

This whole thread is laughable. No one feels sorry for Cubs fans and here's why:

    1) You shove this Cubs **** in our face all the time. Tell us our team sucks and yours is awesome. Guess what? I've been going to Twins games since I was 2. Sorry I have a hometown team that I've rooted for my entire life...
    2) You celebrate pre-maturely. You act like you won the WS before the playoffs even started
3)You are one of the largest fanbases in the country. Stop acting like you're getting picked on by a bully? "Oh poor us, stop making fun of us".

A majority of the stuff Cubs fans complain about happens because they bring it on themselves. Just shut up, watch the games, and celebrate if you win...

Also regarding the prices: people that go to the games aren't complaining because they can afford the tickets. You are right they can charge those prices. Do you know why? Because frat boys, executives, and tourists are snapping them up. Not real baseball people and you know that.

Lastly about casual fans. There's nothing wrong with them, other then they usually talk the most **** and set themselves up for later the most. They are the ones who say the Twins/(or whatever else team you like) suck and the Cubs are awesome. But they tend to be shut the **** up during times like this, or when the Cubs are sitting in last. I then ask them how many WS do they think the Twins have and they usually follow up with 0. Some have never heard of Kirby Puckett. Big baseball fans no doubt..
I disagree with about the people that are at the games. If you sit in the bleachers you get the rowdy crowd that can be anyone (including frat boys). I choose to sit behind the plate and most of those individuals are true fans. I'm not an executive, frat boy, and I don't consider myself a tourist but I can afford those prices and don't have one problem buy the tickets.

As for your last comment, EVERY team has those fans. You just see more cub fans like that because you live in the midwest and they are one of the most popular teams in all of professional sports. So, naturally you will see more of those individuals. They bug me too but I don't consider the whole fan base to be like that.

I've never seen members of a fanbase act like they've always loved the rival, as much as I've seen from some Cubs fans...
If there are people in Iowa who root for both Iowa and Iowa State than I'm sure there are folks from Chicago who root for both teams. Oh, and those were 2 Card fans pretending to be Cubbies.

Seriously read my previous post and than end this thread. That is why Cub fans get such a hard time from other fans. So many people became Cub fans after that year and it became the "cool" team to cheer for

To be fair, as Cubs fans, we need to celebrate when we get the chance. History says that waiting is a tough option for us, so we take it when we can get it.

You think selling out a stadium means that they are better fans? It's a small stadium in one of the largest cities in America. The fratboys need something to do over Summer Break, and the executives need off days from the Country Club..

    1. Get over it. I don't care who you like. The cubs are a popular team in the midwest and I'm sorry there are not more twinkie fans.

    2. I haven't celebrated **** and neither have many of the people on this board. Once again, stereotyping cub fans.

    3. Could give two ***** what you think of cubs fans and I have told you that before. I find it funny that you continue to post **** about the cubs in these threads yet you complain it's being stuffed down your throat. Looks like to me you are opening your mouth and swallowing.

I really don't think many Cubs fans feel sorry for themselves(I don't). I just love being able to meet them all over the place.

What's wrong with having fun?? Cubs fans do that really well. Celebrate prematurely...You sound like my old grade school principal.

I'm not anti-Twins. As matter of fact I'll be going to games up there once they get the new stadium open. It's the closest drive for me now.

Maybe there's an attendance medal out there for you..

Go ahead and Celebrate but don't trash people for liking other teams. That's my problem. It's not like I'm ****** at every team that's won a WS since 1991.
