That stinks. I really like Reed. Great defensive player.

Kinda par for the the course with the Cubs this year. I really hope the team can finally get healthy by September.

That guy grew on me in the first few seconds he was on the field, or at least the first time he made a play.

Reed going down doesn't sting too bad right now since he was really struggling at the plate. Will miss he defense though.

Looks like they're calling up Stevens. Fuld will be back Friday, when a pitcher will be sent down.

It stinks for him, but this really doesn't hurt the Cubs that much. I'd guess that Reed's value is pretty close to the replacement level.

I understand what you're saying, but Reed is more than just your run of the mill extra OF. He's had a good season at the plate and he plays very good defense at all three OF positions.

Fuld will be a good fill in and will probably get some starts in the leadoff spot too.

By very good defense, do you mean he looks good playing defense, or do you mean statistically he plays very good defense. For example Nate Mclouth won a gold glove because he looks good playing defense (diving catches, highlight reel stuff, etc) not because he was a great fielder. In fact, I've yet to see an expert who even has him as an average center fielder.
